2017 Project Outbreak

Project Outbreak

Project Description
Project Outbreak is a series of augmented reality scenarios where biology students track global connections and implications of a case that has happened in their geographic location. Inspired by the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, educators have taken what was to be a geolocated augmented reality simulation and made it global.

Alignment with eLCC mission
Project Outbreak looked globally and locally to leverage innovative technology to provide students with an authentic and meaningful learning experience. Collaboration included SMEs, administrators and instructional designers who ended up presenting in both English and French to the Global STEMx Education Conference.
