Our history

The Telecommunications Cooperative of Colorado (TELECOOP) was founded in 1986 as an educational cooperative to reduce telecourse and satellite video conferencing costs. Membership consisted of a network of distance education specialists from public and private colleges, universities, K-12 schools, private sector business and public television stations dedicated to the enhancement of educational opportunities through distance learning.
